Say hello to Chief! This big sweetie is a two year old, male Lab/ Great Dane cross and weighs about 95 pounds. Chief has some apprehension of males when he first meets them because of past experience, but he has completely warmed up to his foster Dad now after a few weeks. He is just an amazing, loving dog.
Chief knows stay, sit, lay down, shake a paw and speak and just wants to be with his people. He enjoys being outside, needs a bit of work on the leash, but he’s learning. His foster mom says he’s got a tail that could break holes into drywall!
Chief likes sleeping in his kennel at night, but not during the day. He gets along well with other dogs and should be in a home with another dog as he gets anxious when he is left by himself.
Chief would be absolutely fantastic with someone who’s experienced with large dogs and is a strong, confident handler. He loves his people; he just needs a bit of time to get to know them first.
