Adoption Questionnaire
First step in the adoption process to click on the below link and complete/submit the adoption questionnaire. The questionnaire helps us to get to know a bit about the potential family and home our animal will be going to to ensure it is a right fit for the animal you are interested in; It also allows us to match you with the dog or cat that would best fit your family and lifestyle.
We often receive multiple questionnaires for individual animals and our goal is to make the best possible match to ensure our dogs and cats find their forever home. Animals can have multiple meets with interested families in order for us to determine the appropriate match for them. Please be aware that a meet does not guarantee that the dog or cat will be placed in your home. Please click the link below to access and submit a questionnaire to find an animal that suits your lifestyle or to inquire about a specific animal currently in care.

Meeting the Animal
An Animal Haven Rescue League representative will contact you to make arrangements to have a meet and greet with the animal you are interested in adopting or with animals we feel would fit your requests and lifestyle. Please remember that all of our animals are cared for by volunteer fosters in their homes and that we need to work around their schedule also.
Home Visit
An Animal Haven Rescue League representative will come to visit your home during the adoption process. This visit allows us to meet potential adopters, see the home environment that our animal may call home and discuss any questions or concerns about the potential new member of the family.
Adoption Contract
Our adoption contract is a legal binding form that must be signed before an animal is adopted from Animal Haven Rescue. If the adopted animal is too young to be spayed or neutered prior to being adopted please note that they must be spayed/neutered before the adoption is considered finalized.
Veterinary Care
All adult animals are spayed/neutered, micro chipped and up to date with vaccinations before the adoption is completed. Puppies and kittens will have up to date vaccinations, micro chips and will be spayed/neutered unless there are extenuating circumstances. Some senior pets may not be spayed/neutered due to the increased risks of surgery.
